Company history and how it began
Established in 1984 Martin Watson started working on contracts for local building firms using Impact Moles to install service pipes for water, gas and electricity. By 1986 with a growing client base and reputation for reliability, we were successfully completing major contracts including multiple ducts crossing under M1 and M25 motorways.
As projects demanded larger and longer bores, we began to design and invest in Pipe Ramming and Auger Boring equipment. In 1995 we purchased our first Horizontal Directional Drilling machine and undertook a series of River, Road and Railway crossings.
Today, Allen Watson own and operate the most extensive and diverse range of boring equipment in the UK and have successfully completed literally 1000's of bores under Railways, Rivers, Airport's, Roads and Buildings installing pipes and cable ducts from 20mmØ up to 1600mmØ.
